FORDAYS: MOBILE WEB ECOMM

ENTIRE PRODUCT BUILDOUT • PROTOTYPING • UX • UI • STYLE GUIDE CREATION

When I started, there was a PM with wires + user research and a CD with brand guidelines. My job was to work with the team to take these components and make a fully responsive custom ecomm experience that would be able to carry the ForDays model: swapping for life.

ForDays customers can purchase products and swap them for other items, creating a closed loop fashion system. Swapping in relation to direct purchasing is a delicate UX balance; the bottom line of the business had to be considered alongside with clarity of experience for the user. Because we had a fast turnaround, I utilized Bootstrap grid principles and minimized custom UI as to make life a little easier on the devs. I also worked predominately with Figma to deliver prototypes to the team as to best convey the experience of the product as a whole.

Desktop

Although the majority of ForDay’s traffic was anticipated from mobile, desktop still had to be considered and built out to complete the experience.

STYLE GUIDE

A custom site designed from scratch needs a custom style guide; I created this one from the UI and patterns I designed to ensure that future product iterations + developments would be seamless.
